Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch was received in audience on Sunday in Luanda by President of the Republic of Angola João Lourenço, on the sidelines of the Extraordinary Summit of the African Union (AU) Heads of State and Government, held on August 30 in the Angolan capital.
During the audience, Mr. Akhannouch conveyed to the Angolan President the fraternal greetings of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, along with His sincere wishes for health and success in the fulfillment of his mandate, as well as progress and prosperity for the friendly Angolan people.
The Head of Government also congratulated Angola on the excellent organization of the Summit, stressing Morocco’s readiness to work toward further deepening the relations of cooperation and partnership between the two countries.
For his part, President João Lourenço asked Mr. Akhannouch to convey his warm greetings to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, along with his wishes of health and happiness to the Sovereign and continued progress and prosperity to the Moroccan people.
The audience was attended by Morocco’s Ambassador to Angola, Saadia Alaoui; Ambassador and Director General of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation, Mohamed Methqal; and Ambassador, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Morocco to the African Union and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, Mohamed Arrouchi.
