The filing period for candidacy declarations for the elections of members of the House of Representatives, scheduled for Wednesday, September 23, 2026, will begin on Monday, August 31 at 8:00 a.m. and continue until Wednesday, September 9 at noon, the Ministry of the Interior announced.
In a statement, the Ministry informed individuals wishing to stand in the elections that the candidacy process will take place in two stages. The first involves submitting the candidacy declaration through the dedicated electronic platform, while the second consists of submitting the original application file directly to the authority responsible for receiving candidacy declarations.
The representative of each list must access the electronic website “www.élections.ma”, complete the electronic version of the candidacy declaration and attach the required supporting documents under the section entitled “Candidacy Declaration.”
The platform will be accessible from Monday, August 31 at 8:00 a.m. until Tuesday, September 8 at noon.
List representatives may use their personal computers or any other electronic device to complete the procedure. They may also go to the headquarters of the relevant wilayas, prefectures, provinces and prefectures of districts, where dedicated rooms equipped with the necessary technical facilities will be made available.
These rooms will be accessible during official working hours, starting at 8:00 a.m. each day, including Saturdays and Sundays, throughout the period dedicated to the electronic filing of candidacy declarations.
Each list representative may also be accompanied by a person of their choice in the dedicated room to assist them with the electronic filing process.
Regarding the submission of the original candidacy file to the competent authority, the representative of each list must appear at the headquarters of the relevant province, prefecture or prefecture of district for local electoral constituencies, or at the headquarters of the regional wilaya for regional electoral constituencies.
The representative must appear on the date and at the time indicated on the provisional receipt downloaded from the electronic platform and must present the receipt, the original candidacy declaration and the accompanying documents.
The Ministry stressed that submitting the candidacy declaration through the electronic platform is a mandatory step before the original candidacy file can be submitted to the authority responsible for receiving applications.
For further information on the candidacy filing procedure, concerned individuals are invited to consult the electronic website “www.élections.ma” for the relevant details and requirements.
The Minister of the Interior also reminded list representatives, as well as candidates, that the electoral campaign will begin in the early hours of Thursday, September 10, 2026 and will end at midnight on Tuesday, September 22.
The legislative elections to elect members of the House of Representatives will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
