AMDIE: 90% Achievement in H1 2025 with 55.1 Billion MAD in Investments and Over 13,000 Jobs

The Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) held its 11th Board of Directors meeting on January 26, 2026, in Rabat, chaired by Karim Zidane, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Investment, Convergence, and Public Policy Evaluation.

The session focused on reviewing the Agency’s achievements for the first half of 2025, presenting the 2026 action plan, and approving the draft budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

A trajectory aligned with national priorities

The Board’s work aligns with the Kingdom’s strategic orientations aimed at strengthening economic attractiveness, expanding the industrial base, and consolidating Morocco’s role as a regional investment and export hub. In this context, AMDIE continues to act as the operational arm of the national investment policy, in line with reforms undertaken in recent years.

During the first half of 2025, the Agency carried out an extensive promotional program, with 55 initiatives implemented domestically and internationally across 17 markets. These efforts focused on high value-added sectors, consistent with Morocco’s industrial and export priorities.

Strong results in H1 2025

By the end of the first half, AMDIE achieved over 90% of its annual objectives, reflecting progress in line with the planned trajectory for investment attraction and job creation.

Simultaneously, the National Investment Commission held two meetings during this period, approving 64 investment convention projects and amendments in both the public and private sectors. These projects represent a total volume of 55.1 billion MAD, with a projected 13,114 direct jobs.

Under the implementation of the new investment charter, AMDIE also processed dossiers leading to the approval of 250 public and private projects, totaling 414 billion MAD. These projects are expected to generate more than 179,000 direct and indirect jobs across all regions of the Kingdom.

Enhanced action on the ground and internationally

The Agency intensified its on-the-ground activities by hosting 56 international delegations from 19 countries during the semester. Key sectors attracting investor interest included energy, mining, infrastructure, and automotive, confirming Morocco’s strong industrial and logistics appeal.

On the export front, AMDIE continued its open-door support programs, notably through Export Morocco Now and Export Morocco Now Women, assisting 182 Moroccan companies and cooperatives in expanding internationally.

Moroccan diaspora at the center of the promotion strategy

Continuing efforts toward Moroccans abroad, AMDIE strengthened its presence in key host countries, particularly France, the Netherlands, and Belgium. The Agency organized six economic days, along with thematic meetings and conferences, connecting the diaspora with investment opportunities in Morocco.

This engagement also included diaspora participation in four Morocco Now conferences, held alongside international roadshows, supporting targeted promotion of the Kingdom to investors and economic partners.

A validated course for 2026

At the conclusion of the session, the Board approved the 2024 activity report, the opinion report, the H1 2025 results, as well as the 2026 action plan and draft budget.

These orientations confirm AMDIE’s commitment to structured, results-oriented action, enhancing Morocco’s attractiveness and positioning in regional and global value chains.
