Marrakech-Menara Airport has been named “Best Regional Airport in Africa” at the 2026 World Airport Awards, a prestigious ceremony held in London by the international organization Skytrax.

This international recognition rewards the significant progress made by the airport in terms of service quality, smooth passenger flow, and infrastructure modernization. It marks a first-time distinction of this scale for this strategic Moroccan aviation hub.

The evaluation, based on surveys conducted with travelers from around the world, highlights the growing appreciation of passengers for the experience offered at Marrakech-Menara Airport. Key criteria included welcoming service, operational efficiency, and ease of movement throughout the airport.

This success also reflects the modernization efforts led by the Moroccan National Airports Authority (ONDA) under the “Airports 2030” strategy, further strengthening Marrakech-Menara’s role as an international gateway to Morocco and a major tourist destination.
