The University Cadi Ayyad (UCA) and Hoseo University have officially launched the “ATLAS Innovation Hub” (Advanced Technology, Life Sciences & Applied Sciences Institute), a platform dedicated to research, innovation, and technological development between Morocco and South Korea.
The launch ceremony took place in Asan, South Korea, in the presence of Morocco’s ambassador, university leaders, researchers, and institutional partners.
The initiative aims to build a structured framework for cooperation between universities, research centers, industrial ecosystems, and institutional partners.
It will promote joint R&D projects, student and researcher mobility, startup incubation, technology transfer, and investment opportunities in Morocco.
Key focus areas include smart systems, agricultural technologies using AI and IoT, biotechnology, digital health, and cosmetics innovation combining Moroccan natural resources with Korean expertise.
A memorandum of understanding was signed to launch joint projects starting in the second half of 2026.
The roadmap includes the development of technological platforms at UCA and, in the long term, a joint scientific and industrial cooperation center in Marrakech.
