Who is Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri?

Born on January 3, 1976, in Marrakech, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri is a lawyer specializing in real estate and urban law. Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri began her political career in 2007, when she joined the Movement for All Democrats, before becoming one of the founding members of the Authenticity and Modernity Party, established in 2008.

Her profile quickly gained prominence at the local level in Marrakech. In 2009, she was elected President of the Marrakech Municipal Council, a position she held until 2015.

Alongside her local experience, she entered the House of Representatives, where she served as a parliamentarian during the 2011–2016 legislative term and subsequently during the 2016–2021 term.

In 2021, she returned to the presidency of the Marrakech Municipal Council, further consolidating a political career closely linked to urban management and territorial development.

From Parliament to Government

The year 2021 marked a decisive stage in Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri’s career, following her appointment as Minister of National Territorial Planning, Urban Development, Housing and City Policy.

In this position, she was responsible for areas directly connected to urban development, territorial planning, housing and city policies, fields closely related to her previous experience in managing Marrakech.

Within the party, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri became President of the National Council of the Authenticity and Modernity Party in 2015, a position she held until 2024.
