The new agreement around the Africa Center for Manufacturing Excellence (ACME) marks another step in positioning Morocco as a platform for research, development and advanced manufacturing in the aerospace industry, with the participation of major international players and Moroccan institutions.
The cooperation brings together leading global players in aerospace and defense, alongside Mohammed VI Polytechnic University and Moroccan partners in research and advanced manufacturing. It aims to develop capabilities in R&D, engineering and advanced manufacturing, further integrating Morocco’s industrial ecosystem into global value chains.
ACME provides a platform for developing solutions related to Industry 4.0, automation, robotics, advanced materials, additive manufacturing and industrial engineering. It also creates opportunities for knowledge transfer and the development of national expertise in high-value-added industrial technologies.
This dynamic reflects the gradual transformation of Morocco’s aerospace sector from a “Made in Morocco” model toward a more advanced model based on design, engineering, research and development carried out within the Kingdom.
From “Made in Morocco” to “Designed and Developed in Morocco”
The partnership strengthens Morocco’s ambition to raise the technological content of its aerospace industry, expand its innovation and skills base, and position the Kingdom as a regional platform for R&D and advanced manufacturing.
