MATIS plans to invest $16.457 million to expand its manufacturing facility for aerospace electrical wiring in Morocco. The project is covered by an agreement with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and is expected to create 750 direct jobs.
Electrical wiring is essential to aircraft operations, carrying power and signals between onboard systems and equipment. Its manufacture requires specialized technical expertise and strict compliance with quality and safety standards.
Electrical wiring: a strategic link in the aerospace supply chain
The expansion of MATIS’s production capabilities forms part of Morocco’s broader effort to consolidate its aerospace industry. The investment is expected to support production requirements and strengthen the country’s integration into international supply chains.
The creation of 750 direct jobs also represents a significant opportunity for industrial and technical employment. The project comes as Morocco seeks to increase annual aerospace exports from $3 billion to $5 billion within three years.
Achieving this objective will depend on attracting new investments, developing specialized skills and increasing domestic value added while strengthening the competitiveness of companies operating in the sector.
