APS Coating plans to invest €18 million in Morocco to establish an industrial facility specializing in the surface treatment of aerospace components.
A memorandum of understanding signed on the sidelines of the Marrakech Air Show provides for the creation of 120 direct jobs. The project focuses on a specialized process that is essential to aerospace manufacturing, as surface treatments help improve components’ resistance to corrosion, wear and thermal stress while meeting industry requirements.
Developing higher-value-added industrial expertise
The planned facility forms part of Morocco’s strategy to upgrade its aerospace industrial ecosystem. Developing specialized processes would strengthen domestic industrial capabilities and support the needs of international equipment manufacturers and aerospace groups.
Beyond the announced jobs, the project could create opportunities for technicians and skilled professionals in production and industrial quality control.
Its implementation would help diversify the sector’s technical expertise and strengthen Morocco’s position in international aerospace supply chains, supporting the transition towards more specialized, higher-value-added activities.
