The Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool Education and Sports in Tiznit announced the temporary and exceptional suspension of classes on Monday in all educational institutions across the province, due to adverse weather conditions.

This decision follows the heavy rainfall recorded on Saturday and Sunday morning in several areas of the province. It is part of preventive measures aimed at ensuring the safety of students as well as teaching and administrative staff, the Provincial Directorate said in a statement.

The same source noted that the decision was taken in implementation of the recommendations of the Provincial Monitoring Committee, in close coordination with the competent authorities, adding that classes will resume normally on Tuesday in all public and private educational institutions in the province.
