Marsa Maroc announced on Friday a 20-year extension of the concession for Container Terminal 3 (TC3) at the Port of Casablanca, operated through its subsidiary TC3PC. The extension is linked to the implementation of a major investment program designed to increase the terminal’s capacity from 600,000 to 900,000 TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) by 2030.
As part of its broader strategy to support the growth of container traffic at the Port of Casablanca, Marsa Maroc will invest MAD 3 billion in expanding quay infrastructure, strengthening its equipment fleet, and redeveloping storage areas across its two container terminals.
According to the company, these investments will enable the Group to exceed a total handling capacity of 2 million TEUs at the Port of Casablanca by 2030.
Marsa Maroc stated that the concession extension, combined with this strategic investment program, reflects its long-term vision to enhance the capacity and operational performance of its container terminals while reinforcing the Port of Casablanca’s position as a major logistics gateway supporting Morocco’s port and supply chain competitiveness.
