Montreal Hosts Morocco-Canada Investment Day

Montreal will host an economic day on September 19 dedicated to investment opportunities and the development of trade relations between Morocco and Canada, bringing together companies, investors and institutional stakeholders.

The initiative will bring together businesses, investors, economic actors and institutional representatives to discuss opportunities for strengthening economic relations between the two countries, with a focus on investment opportunities, trade partnerships, market access and high-growth sectors.

Through meetings and bilateral discussions, the event aims to strengthen direct connections between Moroccan and Canadian companies, facilitate the exchange of economic information and identify projects that could develop into concrete partnerships and investments.

The initiative comes as Morocco continues to diversify its international economic and trade partnerships while seeking new markets for its companies. For Canadian investors, Morocco offers a strategic platform for accessing African markets, supported by its logistics infrastructure and growing economic links with the continent.

New Trade and Industrial Partnerships

Business-to-business meetings are expected to play a central role in the event, helping companies identify specific needs and opportunities while encouraging the development of new trade, industrial and investment partnerships.

Sectors such as industry, infrastructure, technology, services, agri-food and activities targeting African markets could benefit from this dynamic. Moroccan companies could also use partnerships with Canadian counterparts to gain access to expertise, technologies, financing and international business networks.

The initiative therefore seeks to move Morocco-Canada economic relations from institutional dialogue toward concrete investment projects, commercial contracts and long-term industrial partnerships.

The main challenge will be to turn business meetings and initial contacts into tangible projects capable of creating value and jobs while strengthening trade and investment flows between the two countries.
