Royal Air Maroc to Modernise Cabins on Seven Dreamliners

Royal Air Maroc is entering a new phase in the modernisation of its onboard services. Morocco’s national airline has signed an agreement with Boeing to refurbish the cabins of seven Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.

The initiative forms part of its strategy to improve service quality, enhance the passenger experience and strengthen the airline’s position in international markets. At the time of the announcement, Royal Air Maroc operated a fleet of 71 aircraft, with plans to increase this number to 73 by the end of 2026.

Cabin modernisation is an important tool for airlines facing intensifying competition on international routes. Beyond aircraft renewal, interior layouts, seat comfort, lighting and onboard amenities directly influence passengers’ perceptions of service quality. Through this initiative, Royal Air Maroc aims to progressively raise comfort standards across its long-haul fleet.

The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner plays a strategic role in the airline’s international operations. Designed for long-haul flights, the aircraft enables Morocco to connect with distant destinations. Refurbishing its cabins therefore represents a commercial priority, particularly on routes where the onboard experience can influence the choices of both business and leisure travellers.
