Serving Moroccan Citizens and Safeguarding Their Interests: An Absolute Priority

The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Spain and all the Consulates General have reaffirmed that serving Moroccan citizens and safeguarding their interests constitute an absolute priority of their action.

In this context, the central services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates have carried out a coordination initiative with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Madrid and the twelve Consulates General accredited throughout Spanish territory.

This initiative forms part of the ongoing interaction with the consular network, with the aim of ensuring close monitoring of the services provided to members of the Moroccan community residing abroad and continuously improving their quality.

As a result of this process, several measures were adopted, notably the extension of working and public service hours until 6:00 p.m. instead of 3:00 p.m., from Monday to Friday, as well as the organization of duty services on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, in order to enable all individuals with appointments to complete their administrative procedures under optimal conditions.

It was also decided to maintain continuous mobilization of consular staff, who are called upon to remain on permanent alert to respond to citizens’ needs.

In this regard, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Spain and the Consulates General renewed their commitment to continue their efforts to ensure the effectiveness of consular services and the protection of citizens’ rights, in full compliance with the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, aimed at meeting the needs of Moroccans residing abroad and defending their legitimate interests.
