On the occasion of Ramadan 1447, the Office National des Chemins de Fer (ONCF) has introduced a special operating schedule to align its train services with the adjusted administrative working hours and evolving mobility needs observed during the holy month.
The national railway operator aims to ensure smoother travel flows, particularly during peak commuting hours in the morning and late afternoon, while also strengthening services on high-demand routes.
Key Service Adjustments :
Al Boraq High-Speed Trains
The high-speed service between Tangier and Casablanca will operate 22 daily trains, with increased frequency during peak periods. An additional departure at 10:00 p.m. from both Tangier and Casa-Voyageurs station has been scheduled to facilitate post-iftar travel. On Sundays, an extra 9:00 p.m. train will support weekend return trips.
Rapid Shuttle Trains (TNR)
On the Casa-Port–Rabat route, trains will run every 30 minutes from Monday to Friday between 6:15 a.m. and 6:05 p.m., with evening services extended until 10:02 p.m.
Connections between Casablanca and El Jadida, as well as Casablanca and Settat, will operate hourly during peak times, with additional evening services.
The Mohammed V International Airport line will maintain one train per hour from 5:40 a.m. to 10:55 p.m., ensuring consistent connectivity throughout the day.
Al Atlas Network
A total of 52 daily train services are scheduled under the Al Atlas network, including 22 trains operating along the Fez–Casablanca–Marrakesh corridor between 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Additional timetable adjustments have been implemented across other routes to optimize nationwide mobility.
Ensuring Smooth Travel During Ramadan
Through these measures, ONCF seeks to better manage passenger traffic during Ramadan, a period marked by modified work schedules and increased evening travel. The initiative reflects the railway operator’s commitment to providing reliable, punctual, and comfortable service tailored to seasonal travel patterns.
