Passenger traffic at Tanger Ibn Battouta Airport increased by 11.8% in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same period last year, according to the National Airports Office.
A total of 599,106 passengers passed through the airport between January and the end of March, up from 535,584 travelers during the same period in 2025.
International flights accounted for the bulk of traffic, with 548,454 passengers, marking a 12.2% increase year-on-year. Domestic traffic also rose, reaching 50,652 passengers, up 7.5%.
Airport movements followed the same upward trend, increasing by 13.11% to 4,988 movements, compared to 4,410 a year earlier.
In March alone, the airport handled 193,309 passengers, a sharp rise of 22.6% compared to March 2025.
At the national level, Moroccan airports recorded a total of 8,913,041 passengers by the end of March 2026, reflecting an overall increase of 11.15%, according to ONDA.
