Marrakech Air Show 2026 – Partnership:Safran Strengthens Its Industrial Footprint in Morocco

Safran Oil Systems has chosen Morocco to establish a new industrial unit specializing in lubrication and fluid-management systems for aircraft engines, with an investment of MAD 120 million and the creation of 100 jobs.

The agreement was signed on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, during Marrakech Air Show, in the presence of Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade, representatives of the relevant investment authorities, the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and Exports, and Safran Oil Systems.

The project aims to develop a new industrial capability dedicated to aircraft-engine lubrication and fluid-management systems, adding an advanced technological specialization to Morocco’s aerospace ecosystem and strengthening the Kingdom’s position within global aerospace value chains.

The project comes amid the expansion of aerospace investments in Morocco, particularly in the Nouaceur and Midparc areas, which have become major hubs for specialized industrial activities related to engines, systems and aerospace components.

Higher Technological Value

The decision to develop these activities in Morocco reflects growing confidence among global aerospace manufacturers in the country’s industrial capabilities, specialized workforce and infrastructure dedicated to aerospace production.

The project will also contribute to expanding the local supplier base and increasing high-value-added manufacturing, while supporting technology transfer and the development of Moroccan technical skills.
