His Majesty the King’s Ambassador to the European Union, Ahmed Reda Chami, was received on Wednesday in Brussels by the President of the European Council, António Costa, as well as by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
During this official audience, Mr. Chami presented his credentials in his capacity as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of His Majesty the King to the European Union.
This meeting is part of the strong and historic relations between Morocco and the European Union, governed by the Association Agreement signed in 1996. This agreement laid the foundations for an exceptional partnership that has now become a benchmark in the southern neighborhood.
Since the signing of this agreement, relations between Rabat and Brussels have continued to strengthen and diversify, evolving into a comprehensive strategic partnership based on political, economic, and institutional cooperation.
