CFG Bank is strengthening the leadership of its market activities. Issam Mghabbar has been appointed Deputy CEO, in charge of the Treasury and Market Activities division, a position he has held since June 2026.
The appointment marks a new step in a career spanning nearly two decades in financial markets. Before joining CFG Bank, Issam Mghabbar worked in several major trading rooms, gaining experience in derivatives, foreign exchange, structured products, trading and market-making.
He joined CFG Bank at the end of 2016 to head its Treasury and Market Activities division. Since then, he has contributed to the development and structuring of the business, particularly in trading and market-making, execution capabilities and risk management.
CFG Bank has also gradually expanded its offering to institutional investors, corporates and other market participants.
In his new role as Deputy CEO, Issam Mghabbar will continue to oversee the Treasury and Market Activities division. CFG Bank aims to further develop these businesses, particularly in intermediation, liquidity provision and hedging solutions.
The move comes as Morocco’s capital markets continue to evolve, with increasingly sophisticated needs from investors and companies in terms of financing, liquidity and risk hedging.
