Rabat-Salé Airport recorded a 14.8% increase in passenger traffic during the first half of 2026 compared with the same period last year, according to the Moroccan National Airports Office (ONDA).
The airport welcomed 1,217,574 passengers during the first six months of 2026, up from 1,060,480 travelers in the corresponding period of 2025, ONDA said in its latest air traffic report.
In June alone, Rabat-Salé Airport handled 215,416 passengers, representing a 16.3% year-on-year increase compared with 185,231 passengers recorded in June 2025.
Aircraft movements also posted strong growth. Between January and June 2026, the airport recorded 8,663 aircraft movements, compared with 7,396 during the same period a year earlier, reflecting a 17.13% increase.
At the national level, Morocco’s airports handled a total of 18,831,461 commercial passengers by the end of June 2026, up 8.83% from 17,303,047 passengers during the same period in 2025, highlighting the continued expansion of the country’s air transport sector.
