SFC Automotive Solutions Inaugurates New Automotive Manufacturing Unit at Tanger Med

The multinational group SFC Automotive Solutions, a subsidiary of the German investment fund Mutares, inaugurated a new industrial unit on Wednesday within the Tanger Med platform. This establishment marks a key step in the development of its activities in Morocco and the strengthening of its presence in the global automotive sector.

The ceremony was held in the presence of the Minister of Investment, Convergence, and the Evaluation of Public Policies, Karim Zidane, as well as executives from the Mutares group and SFC Solutions, the CEO of Tanger Med Zones, Ahmed Bennis, and several representatives of local authorities.

Covering an area of 6 hectares, the site represents an investment of 28 million euros. It aims to generate a turnover of 85 million euros and create around 900 direct jobs. The unit is dedicated to the production of automotive sealing solutions and fluid transfer systems for internal combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles.

On this occasion, the minister emphasized that this project illustrates the confidence of international investors in Morocco and confirms the strategic role of Tanger Med as a leading industrial platform. He also highlighted the project’s contribution to integrating the Kingdom into global value chains and creating skilled jobs.

For his part, Fabio Morandi, representative of Mutares and Chairman of SFC Automotive Solutions, stressed the group’s commitment to innovation, industrial performance, and sustainable growth. He also underscored the company’s ambition to strengthen its position in North Africa and support its international clients with reliable and competitive solutions.

The CEO of Tanger Med Zones, meanwhile, pointed out the growing attractiveness of the platform for German industrial players, citing the presence of major automotive companies and the development of an integrated industrial ecosystem.

On the sidelines of the inauguration, a memorandum of understanding was signed with Mutares to facilitate the establishment of new companies from its portfolio in Morocco and to strengthen industrial cooperation between the two parties.

Today, the Tanger Med platform hosts more than twenty German companies that have invested over 3 billion dirhams and created more than 10,000 direct jobs, confirming its central role in the automotive and logistics industries at the regional level.
