HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa Chairs the Annual Diplomatic Charity Gala Dinner in Rabat

Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa chaired, on Sunday in Rabat, the annual Diplomatic Charity Gala Dinner, organized at the initiative of the Diplomatic Foundation in partnership with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, this Diplomatic Gala Dinner, which brings together generous benefactors alongside members of the foreign diplomatic corps accredited in Morocco, has become a yearly event initiated by the Diplomatic Foundation and foreign embassies in Rabat in support of underprivileged populations.

This initiative, which brings together diplomats, business leaders and artists, aims to raise funds to support social action in Morocco through the financing of numerous associative projects, particularly in the fields of child protection, promotion of rural women’s living conditions, capacity-building for young girls, and support for youth.

The Gala Dinner was marked by the screening of a retrospective video highlighting ten years of effective presidency of this event by HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, and showcasing the strong mobilization of the diplomatic corps in support of this noble cause.

In an address on the occasion, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Rabat, Mr. Sami Bin Abdullah Bin Othman Al-Saleh, praised the unwavering commitment of HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, her exemplary dedication, and her steadfast support for noble charitable initiatives and humanitarian actions of public interest.

On behalf of all participants, Mr. Al-Saleh expressed his deep gratitude and sincere appreciation for the multiple forms of solidarity, benevolence and support that Her Royal Highness continues to extend, as well as for her remarkable efforts in promoting volunteerism and humanitarian action.

The Saudi diplomat further stressed that this charitable event, organized this year in partnership between the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Diplomatic Foundation, reflects the strength of bilateral relations and the depth of the fraternal ties uniting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the brotherly Kingdom of Morocco.

This event also illustrates the close cooperation between the two countries across various fields, in line with the High Orientations of the wise leadership of the two brotherly nations, he added.

He further noted that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HM King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, and HRH Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect them, maintain deep and sincere fraternal relations with their brother, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him.

The privileged relations between the two brotherly countries are rooted in a long and firmly established history, Mr. Al-Saleh continued, noting that they reflect the constant efforts made by the two leaderships to elevate them to ever higher levels of strategic cooperation, with a view to establishing an advanced and sustainable partnership that meets the legitimate aspirations of both brotherly peoples.

For his part, the President of the Diplomatic Foundation, Mr. Abdelati Habek, expressed his sincere thanks to HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa for her constant support and for the exceptional care she devotes to this annual event.

“Your presence among us, Your Royal Highness, is a source of pride and honor for us all. It enhances humanitarian action and is fully in harmony with the great humanitarian endeavor led by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, as well as with the commendable and serious efforts deployed by Your Royal Highness in this field,” he said.

Mr. Habek also pointed out that this initiative and annual charitable tradition provide an opportunity to express gratitude to His Majesty the King, may God glorify Him, for His encouragement of such solidarity-based humanitarian initiatives and for His constant will to support the poor and those in need.

Subsequently, the 2026 Diplomatic Gala Shield was presented to HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, who posed for a commemorative photograph with the members of the Diplomatic Foundation’s committee.

Upon her arrival, Her Royal Highness reviewed a detachment of the Auxiliary Forces that rendered honors, before being greeted by the Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family, Ms. Naima Ben Yahya; the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Rabat, Mr. Sami Bin Abdullah Bin Othman Al-Saleh; the Wali of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Region and Governor of the Rabat Prefecture, Mr. Mohamed Yacoubi; the President of the Regional Council, Mr. Rachid El Abdi; the Mayor of the City of Rabat, Ms. Fatiha El Moudni; the President of the Prefectural Council of Rabat, Mr. Abdelaziz Derouich; the President of the Diplomatic Foundation, Mr. Abdelati Habek; as well as members of the Diplomatic Foundation’s committee.
