The Moroccan group Oncorad has been awarded an Excellence Award at the prestigious global WHX Dubai exhibition, a leading event focused on health technology. This international recognition, presented by MicroPort MedBot, a leader in robotic surgery, celebrates a major milestone: performing over 400 robotic surgeries in Morocco.
The event, held recently in Dubai, highlighted Oncorad Group’s commitment to technological innovation in healthcare, under the leadership of its CEO, Professor Redouane Samlali. The award particularly recognizes work at the Clinique Littoral Aïn Diab in Casablanca, the first hospital in the country equipped with a surgical robot, transforming surgical care in Morocco.

Since introducing robotic surgery in 2024, this technology has allowed medical teams to perform procedures with greater precision, reducing blood loss, post-operative pain, and hospital stays, while improving the overall patient experience.
Oncorad Group’s success is the result of a sustained innovation strategy, combining specialized training for practitioners, gradual integration of robotic platforms, and adoption of cutting-edge health technologies. This achievement strengthens Morocco’s and the institution’s position as an African and global reference in robot-assisted surgery.
