Ramadan : Toll-Free Number 5757 Relaunched to Monitor Prices and Supplies

Ahead of Ramadan 2026, Moroccan authorities have decided to reactivate the toll-free number 5757 to strengthen monitoring of prices, product quality, and market supply. This initiative allows consumers to report any commercial irregularities or shortages of essential goods during a period of high demand.

The service will be available daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. throughout Ramadan on both landlines and mobile phones. Calls, charged at the standard rate, are handled by on-duty teams stationed in prefectures and provinces. Consumers can report unjustified price increases, shortages, fraud regarding product quality or origin, and unfair trade practices.

This measure is part of the overall framework of the interministerial commission responsible for monitoring markets and price developments during Ramadan. In parallel, provincial commissions are intensifying field inspections to ensure the sanitary and commercial compliance of products sold. Authorities confirm that basic product stocks are sufficient to meet the increased demand.
