Thousands of families across several provinces and prefectures of the Kingdom are benefiting from the national “Ramadan 1447 H” operation, organized by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity in implementation of the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In the province of Al Hoceima, 17,025 families are benefiting from this solidarity initiative. The operation, launched by Governor Fouad Hajji in the presence of civil and military officials, covers 13,419 rural households and 3,606 urban households. Supervised by local and provincial committees, the initiative aims to ensure that assistance reaches the most vulnerable families, including widows, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.
In the province of Sidi Bennour, 13,212 families are benefiting from this humanitarian action, including 2,412 in urban areas and 10,800 in rural areas, meaning that 81.7% of beneficiaries are from rural communities. The distribution covers 15 territorial communes, including the municipalities of Sidi Bennour, Zemamra and Oualidia, as well as rural communes within the province. The launch ceremony was attended by Governor Mounir Houari, civil society actors, and civil and military officials.
Meanwhile, in the prefecture of Casablanca-Anfa, 820 families are benefiting from the operation. Launched by Governor Abdelkhaleq Marzouki, the initiative also targets vulnerable families registered in the Unified Social Registry (RSU). At the level of the Casablanca-Settat region, a total of 79,016 families are benefiting from this solidarity initiative.
The food baskets distributed include essential basic products, namely 10 kg of flour, 5 liters of cooking oil, 4 kg of sugar, 425 g of tea, 5 kg of rice, 6 liters of milk, 1 kg of lentils, 1 kg of pasta, and 800 g of tomato paste.
At the national level, the “Ramadan 1447” operation was launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, in the Al Inbiâate neighborhood in Salé. This 28th edition will benefit 4,362,732 people and mobilizes a budget of 305 million dirhams for the distribution of 34,550 tons of food products.
Organized with the financial support of the Ministry of the Interior (Directorate General of Local Authorities) and the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, the operation is part of the humanitarian program carried out by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity. It reflects the constant Royal solicitude toward vulnerable populations and upholds the values of humanity, solidarity, mutual assistance, and sharing that characterize Moroccan society.
