Morocco–Côte d’Ivoire: AMDIE and CI Export Strengthen Economic Cooperation

The Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) hosted a delegation from Côte d’Ivoire Export to deepen bilateral cooperation in trade promotion and business networking, in a continental context highlighted by the Africa Cup of Nations.

As part of strengthening economic relations between Morocco and its African partners, AMDIE received a significant delegation from Côte d’Ivoire Export. Discussions focused on cooperation levers in export promotion, facilitation of trade, and connecting business communities in both countries.

This meeting took place in a special context, that of the Africa Cup of Nations, a major continental event whose impact goes far beyond sports. The AFCON increasingly serves as a space for institutional and economic convergence, fostering dialogue, African visibility, and the development of new synergies between states and economic actors.

The initiative fully aligns with the South-South cooperation momentum promoted by Mohammed VI, placing economic partnership with Africa at the heart of the Kingdom’s foreign strategy.

Morocco and Côte d’Ivoire have maintained strong economic relations for several years, marked by a significant presence of Moroccan companies in Côte d’Ivoire, notably in the banking, industrial, telecommunications, and services sectors.
