Morocco’s National Airports Office (ONDA) has announced the deployment of new uniforms featuring the “Airports of Morocco” branding for its teams responsible for welcoming, informing, guiding and assisting passengers across the Kingdom’s airports.
The initiative is part of the “Airports 2030” strategy, which provides for a comprehensive redesign of the roles of airport welcome agents, including stronger supervision, increased on-site presence during peak hours, and training focused on customer service and new passenger practices.
The aim is to improve the passenger journey from arrival at the airport forecourt through to boarding. The new “Airports of Morocco” uniforms are designed to make the teams immediately identifiable to travelers.
The new system reached its first major milestone during the Marhaba 2026 operation, led by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity under the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to assist Moroccans residing abroad during the summer period.
At the same time, ONDA has significantly strengthened its teams dedicated to passenger information, guidance and flow management. Over the past year, their number has nearly doubled, rising from 344 agents in 2025 to 670 currently, deployed across the Kingdom’s airports.
At Casablanca Mohammed V Airport, the number of agents increased from 161 to 224, while at Marrakech-Menara Airport, staffing rose from 68 to 255 agents.
This expansion accompanies a series of innovations introduced at Moroccan airports in recent months, including Pax Check, a fully mobile boarding pass system that uses a secure QR code to allow passengers to pass through checkpoints and automated gates without paper documents.
The new system also includes self-service check-in kiosks, automated baggage drop-off facilities (Self Bag Drop), automated gates and the removal of duplicate security checks. These tools are designed to simplify and streamline the passenger journey.
Through this initiative, ONDA is reaffirming that the passenger experience is central to its mission, with its employees playing a key role in the day-to-day operation of the Kingdom’s airports.
For ONDA, the human factor is at the heart of the “Airports 2030” strategy. Through their commitment and expertise, its teams are directly contributing to the implementation of the transformations and projects that will shape Morocco’s airports of tomorrow.
