Marchica Project Enters a New Phase of Development

The Board of Directors of the Marchica Lagoon Development Agency (AASLM) met in Rabat under the chairmanship of Nadia Fettah to define priorities for the next phase of the Marchica project, launched in 2008 under Royal Directives.

Following the first development cycle from 2014 to 2020, this new phase aims to accelerate key projects, attract more private investment, and establish a sustainable, integrated, and inclusive territorial development model.

A budget of 900 million MAD has been approved for 2026–2027, jointly financed by the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Funds will be allocated to:

  • Environmental preservation,
  • Socio-economic inclusion,
  • Improving territorial, logistical, and digital infrastructure.

The goal is to strengthen the overall attractiveness of Nador province and enhance its national and regional positioning.

The Board also highlighted progress in transparency, governance, and internal restructuring and encouraged continuation of institutional development efforts.

For the subsidiary Marchica Med SA, significant financial improvements were noted, including the mobilization of 1.4 billion MAD in private investments in 2025, paving the way for stronger financial prospects in 2026.
