The Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) was crowned Best Investment Promotion Agency in the MENA region during the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM-2025) awards ceremony currently taking place in Abu Dhabi. The Agency also received the “Gold Partner” trophy for its contribution in this field.
This international recognition reflects the impact of the strategic reforms carried out by Morocco under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, aimed at positioning the country as a competitive, reliable, and forward-looking investment destination. It also highlights the key role played by AMDIE in attracting, promoting, and executing high-potential foreign investment projects for the Kingdom.
A Notable Moroccan Participation at AIM-2025
The award ceremony was held during the 14th edition of AIM, which opened on Monday under the theme “Roadmap to the Future of Global Investment: A New Direction for a Balanced Global System.”
The Moroccan delegation, led by the Minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Convergence and Public Policy Evaluation, Karim Zidane, represents Morocco at the event.
The Royal Vision and Strengthening Morocco’s Position
This participation aligns with the Royal Vision aimed at strengthening Morocco’s position on the international stage and attracting investment in high value-added strategic sectors. At the same time, the country is represented at the international exhibition organized during the summit through a national pavilion under the aegis of AMDIE. The pavilion showcases investment opportunities and Morocco’s offer in key sectors of the economy.
The summit continues until April 9, 2025, with more than 12,000 participants from 180 countries, including heads of state, ministers, central bank governors, stock exchange leaders, as well as numerous investors and international financial institutions.
The event serves as a multidimensional exchange platform, enabling dialogue on issues covering various sectors, including the digital economy, industry, international trade, entrepreneurship, energy, infrastructure, biotechnology, medical technologies, and other vital sectors in the global investment landscape.
