Cap Holding Takes Majority Control of Forafric Morocco

Cap Holding has announced the completion of its acquisition of a majority stake in Forafric Morocco, a transaction that officially became effective on July 29, 2026.

The strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone in the growth of the group, chaired by Chakib Alj, while strengthening its position as Morocco’s leading player in the flour milling and semolina industries.

By taking exclusive control of Forafric Morocco, Cap Holding expands its presence across the country and enhances its proximity to customers. Already well established through brands such as Moony, Gato, and Ifoulki, the group is now adding two iconic Moroccan brands—Maymouna and Tria—to its portfolio.

The acquisition also enables Cap Holding to integrate pasta and couscous production into its operations, reinforcing its position as a fully integrated agri-food company.

According to the company, the transaction is expected to generate significant industrial, commercial, and logistics synergies by leveraging the complementary expertise, assets, and teams of both companies. It is also expected to create additional value and support job creation in Morocco.
