Ministerial Commission: Continuation of exceptional support in response to rising hydrocarbon prices

In view of the continued rise in international hydrocarbon prices and their repercussions on the national economy, the Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, chaired, on Wednesday 30 September 2026 in Rabat, a meeting of the Ministerial Commission tasked with monitoring the repercussions of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East on the national economy.

This meeting resulted in a decision to continue the direct and exceptional support allocated to professionals in the road freight and passenger transport sector, ensuring that the level of this support remains aligned with the rise in hydrocarbon prices.

This government decision aims to guarantee the continued regular supply of markets and the maintenance of public transport services at current tariff levels, with no increase for citizens.

The Commission also noted the availability of energy stocks and the continued supply of the national market with agricultural products and basic commodities under normal conditions.

In this regard, emphasis was placed on the regular supply of the national market, despite geopolitical tensions and the pressure affecting global energy product supplies.

The Kingdom thus holds reserve stocks of butane gas and diesel covering between 40 and 60 days.

Professionals in the road freight and passenger transport sector will be able, as in previous instances, to submit applications for support according to their category via the platform https://mouakaba.transport.gov.ma and track their applications electronically.
