The Moroccan Banking Mediation Center (CMMB), “Al Wassit Albanki”, whose Board of Directors met Thursday in Rabat under the chairmanship of Bank Al-Maghrib Governor Abdellatif Jouahri, signed two partnership agreements with the Moroccan Federation for Consumer Rights (FMDC) and the National Federation of Consumer Associations (FNAC).
Signed by Mr. Jouahri, FMDC President Bouazza Kherrati and FNAC President Ouadi Madih, the agreements aim to encourage and facilitate access to banking mediation through consumer protection associations affiliated with both federations.
The partnerships seek to promote the amicable settlement of disputes between customers and credit institutions, according to a statement issued by Al Wassit Albanki.
The agreements also capitalize on the strong territorial presence of associations affiliated with the two federations to improve citizens’ access to banking mediation services, while structuring a more efficient and better-adapted support mechanism nationwide.
“The signing of these two agreements crowns more than a year of collaboration between Al Wassit Albanki and the two federations. This process was marked by several meetings, exchanges and seminars focusing in particular on the role of banking mediation and its benefits for consumers,” the statement concluded.
