The roadmap of the Digital Development Agency (ADD) for 2030 includes an active contribution to the implementation of a coherent and structured Startup Policy, said the agency’s Director General, Mr. Amine El Mezouaghi.
In an interview with MAP, Mr. El Mezouaghi explained that this Startup Policy aims to establish a climate of trust and collaboration among stakeholders, encourage experimentation, and facilitate the integration of startups into the Kingdom’s major digital transformation projects.
He emphasized that promoting innovation and supporting the startup ecosystem is a key pillar of ADD’s new roadmap, reflecting the commitment to make innovation a sustainable driver of digital transformation, technological sovereignty, and value creation in service of the national economy.
The roadmap also focuses on boosting the digital ecosystem and startups through an integrated sectoral approach, covering strategic areas such as fintech, agritech, healthtech, edutech, govtech, as well as emerging technologies, he added.
According to the ADD Director General, drawing on experience gained at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Bank Al-Maghrib, and national and international consulting firms, this initiative aims to stimulate growth, strengthen competitiveness, and structure the national innovation ecosystem, while promoting balanced and collaborative development across different subsectors.
Key objectives of this roadmap include promoting innovation and the digital economy, supporting the emergence of innovative solutions, encouraging digital entrepreneurship, and strengthening the national innovation ecosystem, with a focus on partnerships, experimentation, and support for startups and high-potential project creators.
