SNEP: Ali Alami takes the helm of Morocco’s petrochemical leader

Société Nationale d’Électrolyse et de Pétrochimie (SNEP), the Moroccan leader in vinyl products and electrolysis, has announced the appointment of Ali Alami as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Fayçal El Kadiri. The decision, approved during the Board of Directors meeting on March 6, 2026, marks a new phase in the company’s strategic development. SNEP is listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

A graduate of the Mohammadia School of Engineers and holder of an MBA from the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, Ali Alami began his career at the OCP Group before holding several general management positions in national and international industrial groups. He has gained recognized expertise in strategic leadership, industrial performance, and organizational transformation.

In 2018, he joined the YNNA Group to lead the Société Chérifienne d’Industrie Ferroviaire (SCIF), successfully supporting its industrial development.

This appointment comes amid a transformation in the chemical and petrochemical sector, where SNEP aims to strengthen its competitiveness, accelerate growth, and consolidate its position in national and regional markets.

On this occasion, Ali Alami stated:

“It is with great responsibility that I assume today the leadership of SNEP, a reference industrial company in Morocco. Our priority will be to consolidate the fundamentals of the company, strengthen its competitiveness, and support its transformation to ensure its role as a key player in the chemical industry and a creator of sustainable value for our partners.”

The SNEP Board of Directors also commended the commitment of Fayçal El Kadiri, who will take on new responsibilities within the YNNA Group.
