The Moroccan government has decided to continue providing exceptional and direct support to professionals in the road transport of passengers and goods, through the launch of an additional support tranche covering a 15-day period.
The decision is part of the accompanying measures implemented by the Executive to mitigate the impact of the continued rise in international petroleum product prices and its effects on the domestic market, according to a statement from the Head of Government.
Registration for this new support tranche will open on November 10 through the dedicated electronic platform: https://mouakaba.transport.gov.ma
A Targeted Support Measure
The initiative falls within the government’s support measures for professionals in the road transport sector, covering both passenger and freight carriers.
Its objective is to limit the impact of rising fuel prices on operators’ operating costs, while ensuring the continuity of transport services across the country.
Access to the Support
Eligible professionals will be able to register online from November 10 via the Mouakaba platform, set up by the Ministry of Transport. The new support tranche will cover a 15-day period.
The statement did not specify the amount of the aid or the detailed eligibility criteria, which are expected to be communicated through the registration platform.
Support Amid Fuel Price Volatility
The decision comes amid pressure on international petroleum product prices. The direct support mechanism is a temporary measure designed to protect a sector highly exposed to fluctuations in diesel and fuel costs.
It also reflects the authorities’ commitment to supporting road transport operators in order to limit the impact of higher fuel prices on transport fares and household purchasing power.
