Emmanuel Macron Praises Morocco’s Educational Achievements Under the Leadership of King Mohammed VI

French President Emmanuel Macron praised on Monday the achievements accomplished by Morocco’s education system under the leadership of Mohammed VI, describing them as “an extraordinary model” for the African continent.

Speaking during the closing ceremony of the “Africa Forward: Inspire & Connect” Business Forum, held ahead of the Africa Forward Summit, Macron said that Morocco has carried out “an incredible revolution” in primary, secondary, and higher education.

The French president highlighted the strong performance of Moroccan students, particularly within France’s prestigious École Polytechnique, noting that Morocco’s educational model has become a benchmark for several African countries.

Macron also announced €23 billion in investments dedicated to Africa, stating that these investments are expected to create more than 250,000 direct jobs in both Africa and France.

In this context, he stressed that the futures of Europe and Africa are closely interconnected, emphasizing that Africa needs sustainable investments more than traditional public aid to support its economic transformation.

Held under the theme “Africa Forward: Inspire & Connect,” the event brought together more than 1,500 economic decision-makers, investors, and public officials from Africa, France, and other countries to discuss key issues related to growth, investment, and the continent’s economic transformation.

Moroccan Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch attended the forum’s closing ceremony, which featured workshops, B2B meetings, and discussions involving executives from major African and French companies, SME representatives, young entrepreneurs, and public sector officials.
