The National Railways Office (ONCF) has announced temporary adjustments to train services over the coming weeks as work progresses on the Kenitra-Marrakech High-Speed Rail Line, alongside ongoing interventions on conventional railway lines.
According to ONCF, these measures have become necessary as construction work enters a more intensive phase. They aim to support the continued progress of the projects under optimal safety conditions, while maintaining service continuity and minimizing the impact on passengers as much as possible.
Temporary adjustments on September 5 and 6
The first phase of adjustments is scheduled for September 5 and 6, 2026. Works planned from 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, until 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, will lead to changes in train services on several routes.
To ensure continuity of passenger travel, ONCF will provide alternative solutions and connections.
The El Jadida TNR service will be limited to Bouskoura, with passengers connecting to Al Atlas trains. The Settat TNR service will be temporarily suspended, with passengers redirected to Al Atlas trains.
For the Airport TNR, rail service will be temporarily suspended and replaced by Supratours coach shuttles. The direct Safi-Casablanca train service will also be temporarily suspended.
For Khouribga, trains will operate only as far as Berrechid, with connections to Al Atlas trains. ONCF also expects delays and adjustments to travel times on Al Atlas services during this period.
The railway operator said it would deploy an enhanced information and passenger assistance system to keep travelers informed, provide guidance and facilitate their journeys.
New transport plan from September 14
A second phase will begin on September 14, 2026, with the introduction of a new transport plan linked to the next stage of the Kenitra-Marrakech High-Speed Rail Line project.
Following an initial phase launched on September 15, 2025, the project will enter a new stage requiring train services to be adapted to construction constraints.
The new plan will include adjustments to certain services, timetable changes, route limitations and the gradual closure of some railway stations, including Facultés and Ennassim stations.
To help passengers plan their journeys, ONCF said it will publish detailed information on all these adjustments and their impact on the various routes starting the week of September 7, 2026.
Information and passenger assistance measures will also be deployed at railway stations, on board trains and across ONCF’s digital channels to ensure clear and up-to-date communication.
The projects are part of the broader modernization, development and transformation of Morocco’s national railway network, aimed at providing more efficient and sustainable mobility adapted to future needs.
ONCF is advising passengers to check their train schedules before traveling through its official channels, including the ONCF Voyages website and mobile application, the Customer Relations Center at 2255 and the M’ONCF chatbot at 06 67 65 22 55.
