Baccalaureate 2026: Ministry Praises Smooth Conduct of the Regular Session

The regular session of Morocco’s National Unified Baccalaureate Examination, held from June 4 to 6, 2026, took place under satisfactory pedagogical and organizational conditions, according to the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports.

In a statement, the ministry highlighted the serious and responsible commitment of all stakeholders involved in implementing the educational, administrative, organizational, and logistical measures that contributed to the successful management of this important national event.

A total of 464,919 candidates sat for the examination. The participation rate reached 96.5% among enrolled students, while independent candidates recorded a participation rate of 52.7%.

The grading process has already begun in 283 correction centers across the country, with 31,622 teachers mobilized to oversee the operation. Deliberations are scheduled for June 16, while the official results will be announced on June 17.

Regarding efforts to combat cheating, the ministry reported that legal, organizational, and administrative measures helped strengthen the detection and monitoring system. A total of 4,126 cheating cases were recorded, representing a 49% increase compared to the 2025 session. According to the ministry, this rise reflects the heightened vigilance of monitoring teams and the widespread use of an electronic fraud-detection system.

Official reports have been filed for all recorded violations and will be submitted to the relevant regional commissions in the coming days to determine the appropriate disciplinary sanctions in accordance with Law 02.13 on combating fraud in school examinations.

The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to strictly enforcing all applicable regulations against any candidate caught cheating during the examinations.

The statement also commended the efforts of administrative and educational staff who ensured the smooth organization of the examination process. It further acknowledged the support provided by judicial authorities, security services, local authorities, media organizations, and educational partners.

Finally, the ministry praised the involvement of parents and guardians during this crucial stage of students’ academic journey and called on all stakeholders to maintain their commitment to ensuring the success of the remaining phases of this major educational milestone.
