Casablanca to Host GITEX Future Health Africa 2026, Boosting Morocco’s Digital Health Ambitions

Casablanca will host GITEX Future Health Africa 2026, a major international event that highlights Morocco’s growing ambition to position itself as a leading continental hub for digital health and medical innovation in Africa.

The event, scheduled for May 2026, is expected to bring together policymakers, healthcare professionals, technology companies, investors, and international experts to discuss the future of healthcare systems across the African continent.

Organized with the support of Morocco’s health authorities and major institutional partners, the forum aims to accelerate the digital transformation of healthcare through advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, telemedicine, electronic health records, and smart hospital systems.

Beyond being a technology exhibition, GITEX Future Health Africa is designed as a strategic platform for collaboration between the public and private sectors. It seeks to foster investment, innovation, and knowledge sharing in order to strengthen healthcare systems and improve accessibility and efficiency across Africa.

Morocco, which has already launched structural reforms in its national health system, continues to invest in digital infrastructure and medical innovation. These efforts include the modernization of hospitals, the development of connected health services, and the integration of digital tools in patient care management.

Through this initiative, Casablanca is expected to reinforce its role as a regional gateway between Africa, Europe, and global health technology leaders, consolidating Morocco’s position in the rapidly evolving digital health ecosystem.
