Ghana is becoming the first operational node of the Africa Distributed Additive Manufacturing network, designed to produce industrial components locally using advanced 3D-printing technologies.

Sodah Engineering and Logistics Limited has been appointed partner and exclusive operator of the ADAM network in Ghana by Arridex Limited. The initiative will connect Ghanaian and West African industries to Arridex’s Omnifactory in Lagos. Companies will be able to digitise, scan and reproduce components that have become unavailable or difficult to import. The system is designed to address critical industrial supply-chain challenges and reduce dependence on overseas suppliers.

A New Digital Industrial Infrastructure

The network targets mining, oil and gas, energy, manufacturing, maritime, defence and public-sector industries. Its objective is to reduce procurement delays and inventories of specialised components. Arridex plans to establish 25 ADAM nodes in 15 African countries over the next five years.

The network is also expected to develop local skills in digital design, materials selection, industrial scanning and advanced manufacturing engineering. Ghana is therefore positioning itself not only as a technology consumer but also as a producer of high-value industrial components.
