McKinsey Strengthens Its Footprint in Morocco and Africa

McKinsey & Company is strengthening its regional presence with the appointment of Yassir Zouaoui as Managing Partner for Morocco and Francophone Africa. Opened in 2004, the Casablanca office now generates nearly 90% of its activity from the private sector, confirming the growing importance of corporate consulting in its Moroccan business model.

Yassir Zouaoui succeeds Mehdi Lahrichi after a 20-year career at the firm, including nearly 10 years in Dubai in regional and international roles. McKinsey highlights the continued growth of its Moroccan operations and is also strengthening its team with the arrival of new Partners, including Oumaima Ayad and Selma El Manser. The Casablanca office serves clients in financial services, technology, energy, mining, telecommunications and distribution.

Casablanca, a Regional Platform

The firm is developing expertise in strategy, transformation, digitalization and financing. Its private-sector activity accounts for approximately 90% of its total business in Morocco. McKinsey also relies on several hundred alumni in Morocco, as well as Moroccan experts working across its global hubs.

Energy, materials, financial services and private capital are among its main areas of activity. The firm supports companies in their growth projects, operational transformation and regional expansion.

The appointment of Yassir Zouaoui comes as Casablanca strengthens its role as a platform for consulting, investment and regional business development activities.
