Morocco’s Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication has officially joined the National Access to Information Portal (PNDAI) through a partnership agreement signed on Sunday in Rabat, on the sidelines of the third edition of the Morocco Gaming Expo 2026.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, and the President of the National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection, Omar Seghrouchni.
Under the agreement, the ministry and its three sectoral departments dedicated to youth, culture and communication will ensure the monitoring and processing of requests and complaints related to access to information, in accordance with Law 31.13 on the right of access to information.
The partnership also provides for the sharing of links granting access to information proactively published by the ministry, including open data, in line with Article 10 of the law. Information concerning institutions and bodies operating under the ministry’s supervision will also be transmitted to the CNDP.
For its part, the National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection will organize training and awareness sessions for ministry staff on the right of access to information, while supporting the ministry’s effective integration into the PNDAI platform.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid said the ministry’s accession to the portal forms part of the implementation of constitutional provisions guaranteeing this fundamental right, describing it as a new step in the digitalization of public services.
The minister stressed that the initiative reflects the government’s determination to make transparency a central pillar of public action by bringing information closer to citizens in a spirit of responsibility and efficiency.
Omar Seghrouchni highlighted the importance of the agreement given the diversity of sectors overseen by the ministry, adding that the initiative would enable citizens, particularly young people, to better understand the management of public affairs related to these sectors.
The National Access to Information Portal is a digital platform enabling Moroccan citizens and foreign residents legally living in Morocco to submit and track requests for access to information and related complaints, in accordance with Law 31.13.
The platform also provides data and indicators aimed at improving service quality and strengthening the effectiveness of the access to information system.
