Morocco and Germany are strengthening their economic cooperation through a new program worth more than €600 million, focusing mainly on water, energy, industrial competitiveness, employment and climate adaptation. Bilateral trade reached €7.37 billion in 2025.
German exports to Morocco reached €3.9 billion in 2025, while Moroccan exports to Germany stood at €3.47 billion. German companies have created approximately 35,000 jobs in Morocco. The German Chamber of Commerce and Industry has around 600 members.
The automotive, aerospace, pharmaceutical and construction materials sectors account for a significant share of German investment. Logistics, digital services, engineering and call centers further complete this industrial and services ecosystem.
Towards a New Generation of Partnerships
Berlin now aims to further develop integrated value chains combining production, training, technology transfer and innovation. Renewable energy, green hydrogen, desalination and the circular economy are emerging as new areas of cooperation.
More than €3 billion in German loans are already being allocated to Moroccan infrastructure projects. Cooperation also covers vocational training, higher education and Industry 4.0.
Morocco is presented as the second-largest destination for German investment in Africa. At the same time, Casablanca continues to play a regional platform role for several German companies operating from Morocco toward African markets.
