Morocco’s Automotive Exports Exceed MAD 58.28 Billion in First Four Months of 2026

Morocco’s automotive industry generated more than MAD 58.28 billion in export revenues during the first four months of 2026, marking a strong year-on-year increase of 18.6%, according to the latest figures released by the Office des Changes.

The sector’s growth was primarily driven by the performance of the construction segment, whose exports surged by 33.5% to MAD 23.88 billion, and the wiring segment, which expanded by 16.1% to MAD 22.09 billion.

The aerospace industry also posted solid results, with exports rising by 15.9% to MAD 11.03 billion. This increase was supported by stronger sales in both the assembly segment, up 20.7%, and the Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) segment, which grew by 6.9%.

In contrast, several export-oriented industries recorded declines over the same period. Exports from the textile and leather sector fell by 6.7%, while electronics and electrical products decreased by 3.5%. Shipments of phosphates and their derivatives also slipped by 1.5%.

Meanwhile, the agriculture and agri-food sector returned to growth, registering a modest increase of 0.8% compared with the same period last year.

Overall, Morocco’s exports reached MAD 168.85 billion by the end of April 2026, representing an annual increase of 8.7%.
