Oracle inaugurated its second research and development (R&D) hub in Morocco on Monday in Agadir, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the country’s technology ecosystem and its ambition to develop world-class cloud and artificial intelligence solutions for global markets.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administration Reform Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Minister Delegate in charge of Investment Karim Zidane, as well as senior Oracle executives.
This new facility strengthens Oracle’s growing presence in Morocco, following the launch of its Casablanca R&D center and the development of cloud infrastructure projects, including the Oracle Cloud Casablanca region and a planned second cloud region in Settat. Through these investments, Oracle is helping position Morocco as a regional hub for artificial intelligence and cloud innovation.
Government officials welcomed the initiative, highlighting Morocco’s increasing attractiveness for high-value technology investments, the strength of its talent pool, and the country’s accelerating digital transformation strategy.
The Agadir R&D hub will focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, artificial intelligence applications, data platforms, and industry-specific solutions. It will also create new opportunities for Moroccan engineers, developers, and researchers.
The project is part of a broader vision to build a multi-city innovation ecosystem and further establish Morocco as a strategic technology gateway connecting Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
