Royal Air Maroc launches record summer 2026 program with nearly 8.2 million seats

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has announced an exceptional air transport program for the summer 2026 season, offering a record capacity of nearly 8.2 million seats, representing a 23% increase compared with summer 2025.

The national carrier’s program will connect 86 international destinations across Africa, Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East, operated through a modernized fleet of 67 aircraft, the airline said in a statement.

The expansion reflects Royal Air Maroc’s commitment to supporting travel by Moroccans living abroad, strengthening Morocco’s international connectivity and meeting growing demand from African travelers and international tourists.

Europe will remain the airline’s largest market, with 44 destinations served and more than 3 million seats available, a 22% increase compared with the previous summer season. The additional capacity aims to meet strong demand from the Moroccan diaspora while facilitating the arrival of European visitors.

In Africa, Royal Air Maroc will offer more than 1.8 million seats, up 36%, reinforcing its role as a continental hub serving African communities and business travelers.

The combined network covering Asia and the Middle East will exceed 524,000 seats, a 16% increase, supported by stronger connections to China, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Routes to the Americas will provide 723,000 seats, up 7%, strengthening the airline’s strategic long-haul connections to the United States, Canada and Brazil.

The point-to-point network will also grow significantly, with more than 890,000 seats, representing a 37% increase, driven in part by the opening of the Tétouan base.

Domestic capacity will reach nearly 1.2 million seats, an 18% improvement, reflecting the airline’s efforts to enhance connections between Moroccan cities and regions.

Royal Air Maroc will also maintain the Casablanca hub scheduling system introduced in summer 2025, with European flights operated mainly at night and African flights during the day, allowing more efficient connections and improving passenger experience.

RAM CEO Hamid Addou said the summer 2026 program represents a major milestone in the airline’s development strategy. He highlighted the company’s focus on improving customer experience through newer aircraft, optimized connections and greater passenger comfort.

The airline said the summer operation will be carried out entirely with its own fleet, without relying on aircraft leasing arrangements. The continued fleet modernization, including the arrival of additional aircraft during summer 2026, is expected to improve punctuality, comfort and service quality.

Tickets are already available through Royal Air Maroc’s website, call centers, commercial offices and the national travel agency network.
