Nawal Chraibi takes over the leadership of UM6P’s Industry Liaison Program, a structure designed to organize the university’s relations with industry and strengthen transfer to the productive sector.
Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) has announced the appointment of Nawal Chraibi to head the Industry Liaison Program (ILP), a new structure created to organize the university’s relations with industrial players and socio-economic stakeholders. Formalized on January 30, 2026, in Benguerir, the initiative reflects a clear intention to improve access for economic partners to the institution’s academic, scientific and technological capabilities.
Through the Industry Liaison Program, UM6P is giving a clearer framework to its dialogue with the industrial world. The university presents the program as an interface designed to structure, strengthen and expand its interactions with companies, while facilitating access to its resources in research, education, engineering, technological development and entrepreneurship.
The aim is to mobilize these different ecosystems in a more integrated way in support of innovation partnerships and value creation. The ILP was therefore designed as a clearer entry point for industrial players wishing to work with the university, benefit from its expertise or develop collaborations with strong technological content.
Nawal Chraibi tasked with leading the new structure
By entrusting the program to Nawal Chraibi, UM6P has placed this new role at a strategic level. Attached to the Transformation, Innovation & Impact division, she is tasked with structuring the university’s industrial engagement through a clearer and more coherent approach aligned with the institution’s priorities. She must also carry and embody an integrated UM6P value proposition by bringing together the university’s capabilities in research, education, engineering, technological development and entrepreneurship in support of industrial needs.
She will also develop and drive long-term industrial relations at national and international level, while ensuring cross-functional coordination between the university’s different entities in order to streamline and professionalize interactions with the industrial world. Another key dimension of the role is to enhance the visibility and value of UM6P’s scientific, technological and intellectual property assets among companies.
A role added to the leadership of the IAS
Nawal Chraibi will also continue to serve as director of the Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS) at UM6P. She will pursue that responsibility with the same ambition to develop interdisciplinary initiatives of excellence.
With this move, UM6P is clarifying its positioning. The university intends to play a more structured role in the relationship between knowledge, technology and industry. By creating a dedicated program and placing it under the leadership of an executive already embedded in its academic architecture, it seeks to bring greater coherence, visibility and effectiveness to its engagement with companies.
At a time when industrial competitiveness increasingly depends on innovation, technology transfer and the ability to build long-term partnerships, this initiative marks a further step in the way UM6P is organizing its opening to the economic world.
