Insurance Contracts Tax: DGI Reminds Operators of the June 1, 2026 Filing Deadline

Morocco’s General Directorate of Taxes (DGI) has reminded insurance companies, reinsurance firms, and insurance intermediaries of their obligation to submit the liquidation declaration for the insurance contracts tax and complete the corresponding payment by June 1, 2026.

The deadline applies to all operators subject to this tax under the current tax regulations. The DGI urged concerned entities to comply with the filing and payment requirements within the prescribed timeframe in order to avoid penalties and surcharges.

This reminder forms part of the tax administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen compliance and encourage the use of digital services available to taxpayers.

The DGI also emphasized the importance of meeting tax obligations to ensure transparency and efficiency within the national tax system. Companies and professionals concerned are encouraged to review their declarations and settle any amounts due before the deadline.

The reminder comes as the tax administration continues its strategy of modernizing tax procedures and expanding the digitalization of services provided to businesses and professionals across Morocco.
