His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, delivered an Address to His faithful people on Wednesday evening, on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the Sovereign’s accession to the Throne of His Glorious Ancestors.

“Praise be to God, and may peace and blessings be upon the Prophet, his family and his companions.
Dear people,
It is with immense pride and deep satisfaction that We celebrate today the twenty-seventh anniversary of Our Accession to the Throne.
Twenty-seven years have passed since it was the Lord’s will to entrust Me with the responsibility of presiding over your destiny. The mission is noble and the task immense.
In full resonance with the Word of the Almighty: ‘If you are grateful, I will surely grant you more favours’, We give thanks to Him for the blessing He bestows upon Us by guiding Us along the path of success, enabling Us to fulfil your expectations and address your concerns.
The pursuit of personal glory, or the desire to be acclaimed as a ‘continental or international leader’, has never been an end in itself for Me. On the contrary, My sole concern has always been to discharge, to the best of My ability, the responsibility incumbent upon Me to serve you, ensuring that all Moroccans can live in dignity as free citizens.
Today, reviewing what we have achieved together fills Me with honour and pride, given the significance of our accomplishments, and makes Me fully optimistic about the future.
More than a source of personal satisfaction, this record inspires a rewarding sense of confidence and serenity, giving Us strength and motivating Us to press ahead and continue our endeavour.
The results of our action are no accident. They are the direct outcome of a clear strategic vision and an approach to governance whose guiding principles are initiative, rigorous follow-up, constructive self-criticism and a genuine determination to face the future with resolve and optimism.

Our country is today at a pivotal stage in its development process, where confidence and optimism must prevail over any rhetoric liable to fuel despair and frustration.
What inspires the greatest pride is the security and stability prevailing in Morocco, as well as the effective functioning of public institutions.
Indeed, in a regional and international environment beset by numerous upheavals and multiple tensions, political and institutional stability is a rare commodity and an invaluable asset.
Today, stability is the key variable in Morocco’s development equation. It is also the strategic capital in which the country takes great pride.
Dear people,
A nation with a thousand-year history, Morocco draws its strength from its age-old nation-state traditions, in which institutions perform their roles in a spirit of harmony and complementarity. This is why achievements continue to be made with the required efficiency and why the country, despite difficulties and constraints, succeeds in meeting challenges.
In this regard, Morocco has demonstrated its effectiveness through the successful organisation of continental and international events. Such mastery has earned it admiration and esteem worldwide, though it has occasionally also aroused envy.
Moreover, Morocco has shown great resilience in the face of disasters and crises, notably through the proactive management of the floods that affected the Gharb region and the north of the country.
Thanks to the prevailing security and stability, combined with institutional effectiveness, positive indicators are multiplying across all sectors, reinforcing the momentum of economic emergence and further safeguarding national sovereignty.
Indeed, the growth rate stood at around 4.9% in 2025, and an equivalent or higher rate is expected in 2026.
As regards agriculture, Morocco benefited from significant rainfall and a good agricultural season. This favourable situation has enabled the country to further strengthen its water and food security.
Furthermore, as evidenced notably by the positive trend in industrial indicators, Morocco has consolidated its status as an attractive hub for industrial, tourism and financial investment.
The automotive, aerospace, renewable energy and agri-food sectors now form essential pillars of the national productive fabric, both because of their ability to attract investment and their capacity to create wealth and jobs.
Today, Morocco has become Africa’s leading automotive exporter, with an annual production capacity of around one million vehicles. The automotive and aerospace sectors now account for more than 40% of Morocco’s total exports, thereby surpassing the phosphate sector.
Supporting this trend, We presided at the beginning of the year over the launch ceremony for new industrial units. In doing so, We paved the way for Morocco to join the select group of countries hosting some of the world’s largest specialised hubs for the manufacture of aircraft engines and landing systems.
By developing an integrated electric battery sector, Morocco is also demonstrating its capacity to anticipate future technological transformations and integrate into production chains linked to strategic industries.
Driven by the same spirit of innovation and development, large-scale projects are under way to make renewable energy a pillar of energy security and a lever for attracting industries seeking competitive, decarbonised energy.
In support of this ambitious strategy, the operational rollout of the ‘Morocco Green Hydrogen Offer’ has begun with the granting of authorisations to an initial group of megaprojects.

In an international environment marked by the return of protectionism and the imperative of securing supply and production chains, We have made the strengthening of national sovereignty and strategic self-sufficiency major pillars of industrial development.
This orientation is most clearly reflected in the agri-food and pharmaceutical industries, which now cover nearly 80% of national needs.
Moreover, the establishment of a defence and cybersecurity industrial and technological base will gradually help consolidate sovereignty in the field of defence and generate development opportunities, thereby reinforcing our country’s status as a regional power in these sectors.
The tourism sector also achieved a historic performance in 2025, welcoming nearly 20 million visitors, including members of the Moroccan community living abroad.
Alongside the promotion of the economy, We continue to roll out numerous human development initiatives and programmes, notably through the universalisation of social protection. Our ultimate goal is to improve Moroccans’ living conditions and establish social and territorial justice.
In this regard, We stress the need for the effective implementation of integrated territorial development programmes, while ensuring that they cover every region without exception.
Furthermore, the momentum of economic and social transformation requires the mobilisation of financial resources on an unprecedented scale, the bulk of which must come from domestic financing.
We therefore urge the national financial sector to continue supporting investment and major projects and to expand, both in quality and scope, access to bank and non-bank financing for small and medium-sized enterprises, innovation, industrialisation and exports.
We also aspire for the financial sector to become more open and innovative, so as to ensure the optimal mobilisation of national savings, particularly institutional savings, and revitalise financial markets. This will give fresh impetus to the development momentum of an emerging Morocco.

With the Lord’s help, We have succeeded in consolidating Morocco’s position as a credible, respected and influential international actor.
Indeed, the Kingdom is today asserting itself as a leading economic operator and a sought-after partner for participation in new, balanced and forward-looking partnerships.
Building on these positions, it is now able to engage all its partners with confidence and transparency and to put forward constructive partnership proposals and promising cooperation initiatives concerning bilateral issues and major international challenges.
Acting with commitment and responsibility, our country has also chosen to diversify its partnerships in order to strengthen its capabilities and expand their reach across all fields.
Dear people,
These economic and social achievements transcend governmental and parliamentary terms. They are the result of a virtuous cumulative momentum sustained over successive years and fostered by our country’s strategic orientations and the soundness of its major choices.
We hope that, following the next legislative elections and the subsequent formation of a new government, a new cycle will begin in our development trajectory, guided by the preservation of achievements and the continuation of major projects and reforms.

The celebration of Glorious Throne Day is an opportunity for Us to once again express Our pride in and esteem for Our Royal Armed Forces, the Royal Gendarmerie, the Territorial Administration, the National Security services, the Auxiliary Forces and Civil Protection, in all their components, for their dedication and constant mobilisation, under Our command, in defending national unity and safeguarding the country’s security and stability.
In this regard, We recall with profound reverence the memory of the valiant martyrs of the Nation, foremost among them Our August Grandfather, the late His Majesty King Mohammed V, and Our Illustrious Father, the late His Majesty King Hassan II, may God have them in His holy mercy.
Let Us conclude by citing the Verse which states: ‘God does not wrong those who do good.’
May the peace, mercy and blessings of God be upon you.”
