Iran – United States: Trump Calls for Respect of Ceasefire Following Landmark Agreement Signed with Tehran

U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to peace in the Middle East, urging all regional actors to honor their commitments to a full ceasefire across all fronts.

In a message posted on his Truth Social platform, the White House leader stressed that Washington remains committed to regional stability and wants negotiations to continue under the best possible conditions.

“The United States is committed to PEACE, and we encourage all actors in the Middle East to remain faithful to their commitments so that our negotiations can proceed in the best possible conditions,” he said.

Trump also highlighted the positive impact of the agreement with Iran on financial markets, pointing to falling oil prices and rising stock markets. He expressed hope for a “total ceasefire on all fronts,” including Lebanon, Hezbollah, and Israel.

Earlier in the day, the U.S. president had described the agreement with Tehran as a “success” and a “victory” for the United States.

In this context, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the lifting of the maritime blockade imposed on Iranian ports, which had prevented ships from docking in or leaving Iran for more than two months.

According to official statements, U.S. President Donald Trump and Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian signed a remote memorandum of understanding aimed at ending the conflict. The announcement was made by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while the White House confirmed the signing in a video posted on X.

The agreement marks a significant diplomatic step aimed at de-escalating tensions in the Middle East and paving the way for renewed regional stability.
